We are excited to announce that from now on, you can set your own keys in your XLSX files by creating a new column named “key”.

This information will be exposed to Transifex Web Editor and can be used in the key filter allowing you to easier find entries based on specific key values.

You can find more information about this newly introduced syntax in our documentation guide [here](https://docs.transifex.com/formats/xlsx#extra-columns-and-duplicate-phrases).

Hi Nina! With this “key” value, will it be possible to use the Edit Source feature with resources in Excel format? Thanks!

Hi @Aurelien,

This is not supported at the moment, but we plan to work on this and extend the list of file formats mentioned [here](https://docs.transifex.com/projects/edit-source-strings#what-does-this-feature-include?).

We will keep you posted 🙂
