# Language does not appear as an option to be requested in a Public project

I want to collaborate on translating a public project, and I tried to request a language, but it does not appear in the drop-down menu. Any idea why?

There might be 2 reasons for it:  
Case #1:  
In case the same language has been requested by another user and the request is still pending for approval, then you cannot submit the same request.  
Case #2:  
You can check our explore page [here](https://www.transifex.com/explore/languages/%5D) in order to ensure that the language you are interested in is supported by Transifex. If you cannot find this language there, then you can contact us at [support@transifex.com](mailto:support@transifex.com) and ask us to add this to our list.
