🚀 New Feature Release: Enhanced “Live on Page Strings” Filtering Now Available in the Editor

We’re excited to announce a new enhancement to the Transifex Editor that will streamline your on-page translation workflow: the Live on Page Strings filter is now available! This update brings a more intuitive and accurate way to view and manage content that is actively displayed on your live pages—ensuring your translations are always relevant and up to date.

:bullseye: How It Works

Here’s a quick walkthrough to help you get started with the new filtering process:

  1. Navigate to Your Desired Page

Visit the live page that contains the strings you want to manage.

  1. Manage Your Strings

o Go to the Manage Strings menu.
o Select the Approved tab.

o Apply the On Page filter to narrow down the content.

  1. Open the Editor
Click the Translate in Editor button to launch the Editor with the filtered results.

  1. Use Advanced Filters
o Click on Filters > More > Live URL path matches to refine your view.

o You’ll notice that the number of strings shown in the Editor matches exactly with what you see in the Live Editor—ensuring consistency.

  1. Apply the New “Live on Page Strings” Filter
o Head back to Filters > More, then apply the Live on Page Strings filter using the On page option.

o This step will remove any strings that aren’t currently displayed on your site.
o In the example provided, 6 strings remain—matching the 6 strings shown in the Live Editor.

:memo: Important Notes

  • Only Approved strings will appear when using the Live on Page Strings filter.
  • Strings in the Detected tab that are on page but not approved will not be included.

To include those:

  • Go to the Detected tab and apply the On Page filter.
  • Select the strings you want, click Approve, and translate them as usual.
