Automatically updating source files that are hosted on Dropbox or Google drive

I provided Transifex with a specific URL in order to automatically update my resource using the “Automatic update of source files” feature. However, it keeps saying that the URL is not valid. Am I doing something wrong?

Dropbox
In order to ensure that Transifex receives a plain text copy of the file, you need to append “?raw=1” to the end of the URL.

So, instead of: https://www.dropbox.com/....?dl=0, the URL should be: https://www.dropbox.com/....dl=0&raw=1 .

Google Drive

Transifex will check that URL for updates 4 times per day (every 6 hours) and if there are any changes to the file, it’ll fetch the file and update the resource in Transifex. Because the check happens 4 times a day, there may be a delay between when you update a file and when Transifex detects the changes. The updated resource will automatically be available to your translators and reviewers.

In order to make this work, you need to:

#1 : Upload the desired file as a new file to Google Drive.

#2 : Generate the shareable link. It will look like this

https://docs.google.com/document/d/FILE_ID/edit?usp=sharing

#2 : The format of the URL for auto-updating a file from google drive in Transifex is:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/FILE_ID/export?format=xlsx
