Hello everyone,
Wanted to inform you on extending functionality when you set custom placeholders for a file format. With this new functionality you can:
- Set whether you allow whitespace or not when setting start and stop delimiters for a placeholder
- Type the exact placeholder or variable that you want to protect.
Custom placeholders are typically used when you want to protect specific sub-strings from translation or erroneous typing, e.g. code variables and code parts or custom protected text.
This functionality is available in your organization settings > Translation checks interface under each file format checks. In the list of translation checks you will also see an option for “placeholder delimiters and custom variables”, clicking “Manage placeholders” you will see the updated modal.
