I recently turned on Slack integration for our organization. We have more than a dozen projects, and it’s a mixture Transifex Live sites and other file based projects.
I had configured the notification for updates to projects so that it would post when resources are updated in a Slack channel. Today one of our Transifex Live sites was getting updates. On Transifex I got a single notification that "New strings have been detected on ". In Slack we got 13 notifications that the Live site had updates in less than a minute.
That doesn’t work - if we get that many notifications in the channel everyone will just start ignoring them. So I’ve had to turn off the updated project notification. That’s really too bad because it means it’s turned off for all projects, and there are some that would be good to have update notifications going to Slack.
This may just be a bug in the slack integration with Live projects. Or it might work to implement something that won’t send the same notification for the same project more than once in some period of time (like a day). Alternatively, a way to exclude certain projects from the notifications would have worked for us in this case.
I’d be interested in hearing if anyone else has had this problem, or has other suggestions.

After further investigation on your issue, could you please share with us the 13 messages you received in Slack? We need to identify what kind of messages were these 13 files. Also, you mentioned "So I’ve had to turn off the updated project notification. " Could you please clarify what exactly did you turn off about project notification?
Here are the thirteen messages that were posted within minutes, about 90 minutes after 7 (identical) messages. We were making updates to the Transifex live site, but it wasn’t helpful to get this many messages. I turned off notifications in Organization Settings… Manage Integrations… Slack.
