Transifex API Update: Activity Report API endpoint now includes fuzzy match distribution for edited words

We’ve enhanced the Activity Report endpoint in the Transifex API to provide more detailed insights into Translation Memory (TM) usage.

What’s new

The Activity Report API response now includes fuzzy match distribution for edited words.

Previously, the endpoint returned only fuzzy match data for translated words, while edited words were included only as totals. With this update, fuzzy match ranges are now available for both translated and edited content, aligning the API output with the Transifex UI.

Alignment with the UI Activity Report

In the Transifex UI Activity Report, TM leverage is displayed next to the new word count as a bar chart, showing how much translators relied on TM when:

  • Translating new words (translated leverage)
  • Editing existing translations (edited leverage)

The UI also allows you to download a CSV version of the report that includes fuzzy-match ranges for both translated and edited words. Until now, the edited fuzzy-match columns were not exposed via the API. This update closes that gap.

Why this matters

With this enhancement, API users can now:

  • Analyze TM leverage for both translated and edited words
  • Build reports that more accurately reflect translator effort
  • Achieve parity between API-based reporting and UI-based reporting
