AI in Translation: Helpful, but Not Perfect

I used AI tools to help translate an article. While the AI suggested literal translations, some phrases sounded awkward. By reviewing and adjusting them myself, the text became clear and natural. This experience showed me that AI can assist, but human judgment is still essential in translation. So how much should translators rely on AI tools before making manual adjustments?

Hello @jomana_khalil,

Sandy from the Transifex team here,

In my opinion, AI translation can be a meaningful improvement when itโ€™s provided with enough contextual information, such as subject matter, tone, and intended audience. With the right context, AI can produce translations that are already quite accurate and useful.
