Ever wondered how to give your translators the perfect context for those tricky UI elements? Well, I’ve got some exciting news for you - our Figma plugin makes this super easy!
Why Context Matters 
When translating UI elements, context is everything! Take a look at this homepage design - seeing the full layout helps translators understand which elements should remain untranslated (like the “World Peas” brand name) and which text needs localization (like the descriptive tagline and navigation items). Plus, they can see exactly how much space they have to work with - super important for those languages that tend to run a bit longer!
How to Share Screenshots 
It’s as easy as checking a box! Here’s what you need to do:
- Select your text elements in Figma
- Open the Transifex plugin
- Make sure the “Upload Screenshots” checkbox is selected (it’s on by default)
- Hit that Push button!
And voilĂ ! Your translators will see the full context right in the Transifex editor:
Pro Tips for Screenshot Magic 
Here’s something cool - the screenshot that gets sent depends on how you select your frames:
- Select a giant frame = Get one big screenshot with everything in it
- Select specific nested frames = Get individual screenshots for each frame
- Select just a text element = Get a screenshot of the frame containing that text
- Select multiple elements = Get separate screenshots for each context
Quick Tip: When working with RTL languages, don’t worry about text alignment - our plugin automatically handles that for you!
Just a heads up: Screenshots aren’t supported in FigJam files yet, but they work like a charm in regular Figma files!
