I used to contribute to JEvents translations (a Joomla! component). Now, when I log into Transifex, my default page is Jevents default page and I cannot go anywhere else. Seems like I’m stuck into this team. I want to join another team now (Ignite gallery, visible here : https://explore.transifex.com/matt_nz/ignitegallery/) but whenever I go to that page, I’m not logged in anymore : I see Login / Signup at the top of the page and if I click “Login” I’m sent back to Carcam’s default page.
Please contact your team manager or another member from the organization in question. Or make a new request to be part of the new team you want to join. You will need to wait on the organizations members admins to respond to your request.
How can I make a request to be part of another team if I appear not logged in whenever going to the other project’s page ? Alternatively, how can I quit my current team (I don’t understand exactly what being part of a team means, I just want to contribute to some projects…)
Nope. Interface does not look at all like what I see in the “Leaving a project” help page (see below). I had to manage the teams and remove myself (am I the project manager ? what’s that ???). Then upon removing myself from the last team, I got a 404 error on Log in · Transifex (okay, I’m no longer part of that, but a 404 error ! wow…), then got to app.transifex.com (where half of the screen text is translated, the rest is not ! great !). I’m logged in. The page invites me to explore. Fine. clicking “Explore” sends me to https://explore.transifex.com/ where… I’m not logged in !!! And clicking “Log in” sends me back to app.transifex.com (we’re going circles, here).
I’m pretty sure whoever designed this logic didn’t think of my cas but here I am and that is QUITE frustrating. Can’t I just be a single user, contributing as a freelance to some projects ?
In order to have access to provide translations you need to be a member of a team. You need to be invited or accepted to such a project.
You do not have to log in to request to join a team. Just find the project and click on Request to Join. If the admins of that project accept the reuqest you will receive a notification / invitation. System does not auto accept requests to any kind of project, public or private.
Okay. So if I do work on two projects, will I be able to be a member of two teams ? And why is the home page saying I am not logged in ? This is very strange. Anyway, I’ll wait for the other project admin to approve my request (I guess it has been sent…) and see.
