I recently began setting up a few OpenHistoricalMap projects to use Transifex. These appear under openhistoricalmap-1
but it’s been pointed out to me that there exists an unnumbered openhistoricalmap
account in the system. How can we go about getting access to that account or finding out who it’s registered to and if it’s configured to do anything.
Ultimate goal being, of course, to have a single account associated with the project and to avoid -1
in our urls, etc. Thanks!
Thanks for bringing this up! I’m currently looking into it to better understand the existing openhistoricalmap
account — specifically who it’s registered to and whether it’s actively configured. The goal of consolidating under a single account (and avoiding the -1
in the URLs) definitely makes sense, and I’ll follow up as soon as I have more details.

Can someone please help me with this? Apparently an openhistoricalmap
account was set up prior to the one I created, openhistoricalmap-1
, and I need help finding out who is the administrator of the earlier one. It could be me, having made a mistake, although I do not see it listed in my switcher. More likely someone on the team set it up in the past three years. People are busy, people move on, and I understand there are privacy and account takeover concerns.
Whatever it takes, please let me know what to do next. We would rather fix this before we put out a call for translators.
Hello Eric,
After discussing this with my team, we’ve released the organization slug openhistoricalmap
, so you’re now free to use it in your own organization.
To update your organization slug, please go (as soon as possible because someone else can take the slug now that is free) to your organization settings at:
https://app.transifex.com/your_org/settings/
Then edit the Organization URL under the Sharing Options section and save the changes.
Let me know if you run into any issues!
Wonderful, thank you @Sandy_DLR!
