Available now on the Enterprise+ plan, this feature ensures consistency across your translations while reducing the time and effort spent on post-editing. Let’s dive in!
What is it?
With the Auto-update identical translations feature, any edits made to a single translation will be automatically applied to all other strings that share the same source text and translation. Additionally, with context matching enabled, only source-translation pairs that share the same context will be updated instead.
This update applies regardless of whether you’re editing via the API, CLI, Editor, or File upload, ensuring that your translations stay synchronized across the board.
You can also set a threshold to control which strings get updated. Any strings with a status equal to or lower than your selected threshold will be updated and their status will be reset to Translated. For example, if you set the threshold to Reviewed, only translations with a status of Reviewed or Translated will be updated, while translations marked as Proofread will remain unchanged.
By resetting the status to Translated, we ensure that your team is always aware when a translation has been auto-updated, making it easier to prioritize and re-evaluate as needed. This approach helps you stay on top of progress and guarantees a smooth, organized workflow.
