Hey Transifex Community!
We’re thrilled to announce our latest feature upgrade designed to boost your translation workflow: a new filter functionality that identifies when a source string has been translated differently across various projects and target languages. This tool is here to ensure you maintain consistency where it counts!
Why is this feature important?
Many of you have highlighted the need for maintaining translation consistency, especially when working across multiple projects or with large teams. This feature directly addresses those concerns by making it easier to spot discrepancies in translations of the same source string.
Here’s how this feature can be valuable:
Ensuring Consistency: Maintain a uniform tone and style across all your projects by easily identifying strings with multiple translations.
Streamlining QA: Quickly find and review inconsistencies in translations, ensuring that all variations are intentional and contextually appropriate.
Optimizing Collaboration: In large teams, where multiple translators might work on the same string, this feature helps ensure everyone stays aligned.
How to Filter Source Strings with Different Translations?
You can now use the new filter options in the Strings form to view and manage these specific strings. Here’s how you can leverage this new feature:
Filter by Identical Source, Different Translations: Identify strings where the source text has been translated differently within the same project or language pairing. This is perfect for ensuring that all translations are consistent or intentionally varied.
- Apply the Filter in the Strings Form: Use the existing filter options to apply this new functionality and improve the quality and consistency of your translations across projects.
Example Scenarios:
Consistency Check: Easily find all instances where the same source string has been translated differently, allowing you to standardize your translations across all projects.
Collaborative QA: Work with your team to review and resolve translation discrepancies, ensuring that your final content is coherent and consistent.
As always, your active participation shapes our innovations, helping us lift the language barrier and engage the world. Thank you for being such a vital part of our community and helping us make Transifex even better!
