We are excited to introduce a highly requested feature to enhance your translation workflow: the ability to filter strings based on the similarity between the source and target languages! This new feature empowers you to display the strings where the source and target language content are identical
Why is this feature important? Many of you have expressed the need to easily identify and manage strings that are either untranslated or have been automatically approved without localization. This feature addresses several common scenarios, such as:
- Reviewing strings for quality assurance purposes.
- Identifying untranslated strings that have been automatically filled with source text.
- Managing and cleaning up projects where source and target strings match due to previous platform exports.
How to Filter Strings by Source and Target Language Similarity? You can now use the new filter options in the editor to view and manage these specific strings. Here’s how you can leverage this new feature:
- Filter by Source=Target: Identify strings where the source text matches the target text exactly. This is useful for spotting untranslated or auto-filled strings.
- Use the existing filter in the editor to apply this new option and streamline your translation review process.
Example Scenarios:
- QA Review: Easily find and review all strings where the source and target are identical to ensure they are localized as expected.
- Cleanup Imported Files: Identify and delete translations that were auto-filled during import processes, giving you a clear view of what still needs translation.
