Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking about the challenges translators face when dealing with texts that mix formal and informal registers, or switch between different styles in the same text. For example, a marketing brochure might use playful, casual language, while legal disclaimers are formal and rigid. How do you approach maintaining the tone and style of the original text while ensuring the translation feels natural and coherent for the target audience? Any strategies, tips, or examples from your experience would be greatly appreciated!
