I am starting the coordination of the translation efforts of Creative Commons Deeds into Papiamento. A language spoken in the Caribbean islands. When I wanted to request the language, it did not show up.

Can you please share the URL of the project you’re having this issue with? Also, having a screenshot of what you see when this language is requested would be helpful.
How do I request languages to be added to the ‘request language’ option?
In the pop-up screen that appears when you join a project, you need to select which language you want to help translate; after you select it, if the language is not part of the project, the “request language” button will be displayed, and you need to click on it.

So I click “request language”, search for ‘Papiamento’, but that language does not appear in the list. See screenshot.

But now it looks like Papiamento was accepted for the administrators of this project:
