I’m wondering if deleted strings can be restored and what that process might involve?
We’re imagining a scenario where either through CI automation or via user error in the editor a string or strings are accidentally deleted. Could those strings be restored?

Thank you for contacting Tranifex.
So, if you delete a source string , there is no way via cli or web editor to restore that string directly to your project and source file. Deleted source strings cannot be retrieved.
The only way for restoring is via the TMX file. The string text and it’s translations will remain in Translation Memory. You would need to remember which string it was and export it from your TM.
On the editor there is only one scenario where a deletion is allowed and that is only in fileless resources . See here . In no other file format deletion of strings is allowed online.
